Plan an Instagram Live that gives viewers a reason to stay

Check access in your account, prepare a clear running order and evaluate the broadcast beyond its peak viewer count.

Check access before announcing the event

Confirm that your account can currently start a Live in the Instagram app, and check the official help information if the option is unavailable. Eligibility and feature availability can depend on account circumstances, so do not promise access based on an old follower threshold from a blog. Test your camera, microphone, connection and any guest setup before publishing an invitation. Assign someone to monitor the broadcast if the presenter cannot also follow questions.

Write a short running order

Give the session one clear purpose: demonstrate a process, answer recurring questions or explain a new offer. Open by saying what viewers will learn, then move quickly into something concrete. Prepare the objects, examples and links you need in advance. Include brief recaps for people joining later, but do not restart the entire introduction each time. Finish with a next step that follows from the session rather than an unrelated sales pitch.

Plan for a small audience first

A useful session should work even when only a few people attend. Prepare questions collected beforehand and explain what you are doing while you demonstrate. A moderator can group repeated questions and flag issues without exposing personal order details in public. Do not make the event depend on reaching a particular concurrent-viewer count. If a question cannot be answered accurately on the spot, record it for follow-up instead of improvising a product or policy claim.

Review attention and follow-through

After the broadcast, note the topics people asked about, technical interruptions and actions taken afterwards, such as relevant enquiries. Peak concurrent viewers, total views and participation are different measures, so preserve their labels when reporting. A purchased viewer count does not establish that people listened or acted on the content, and cannot guarantee access to Live or wider distribution. Use the review to shorten weak sections and prepare a more focused next session.
